Yawning through the NBA Finals

Question: Have any of you remembered a more boring NBA Finals than this one? Yes, I realize that this will be as close to fundamental basketball as the NBA gets--not to mention the first four games in this series have been laughers--but to be honest the only thing that I really care about in this series is if Eva Longoria shows up to the game with a sign saying "Tyler, will you marry me?"

Five years ago, I would have been all over this. I would have been dissecting matchups, watching the West Coast edition of Sportscenter, how Tim Duncan matched up with Ben and Rasheed Wallace, the whole bit. Not now. It's not that I don't enjoy basketball any less--nobody gets more into the NCAA Tournament than my brother and I--I just think the NBA is a crummy product. From the Shaq and Kobe era of the damn Lakers, to the Knicks/Heat "rivalry" that turned every game into Fight Club on Hardwood, the Michael Jordan 2nd un-retirement, I've just become bored with the NBA right now.

That and chicks don't dig a long conversation about how Manu Ginobili will be Finals MVP. Who knew?
